Black and Missing Foundation Launches Production Company BAMFI Enterprises on National Missing Person’s Day

(Hyattsville, MD, Feb. 3, 2023) – Today, National Missing Person’s Day, the Black and Missing Foundation (BAMFI), whose investigative work by BAMFI Founders Natalie Wilson and Derrica Wilson was chronicled in the award-winning HBO docuseries Black and Missing, launches a multi-faceted production company, BAMFI Enterprises (BAMFI ENT), to create content and provide technical consultation for television, film and digital/streaming media with a focus on missing persons of color as well as real-life challenges affecting BIPOC communities. BAMFI is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to bring awareness to missing persons of color, provide vital resources and tools to missing person’s families and friends and to educate the minority community on personal safety…

Cases of missing Black people remain unresolved four times longer than those of white people. This four-part series follows Derrica and Natalie Wilson as they fight an uphill battle to bring awareness to the Black missing persons cases that are marginalized by law enforcement and national media. This intimate look takes on a new urgency in light of other high-profile cases.
